One of my forts there doesn't have a guard tower, I still haven't cleared the Nagafen or dealt with the dragon, yet I'm at 0%. I always took that stuff to be more about how much Haven will get as a whole in general/long term, but it's also possible it has more of a direct/immediate effect as well. Interesting point about who you choose as vassals, though. Whatever the case, I guess I'd be surprised if this gave me more resources. Maybe something actually happens after a few weeks or a month? I don't know. I made my deal with the Brokk relatively recently, but I think that some of the people in charge had different things to say when I spoke to them immediately after vs. This is just a guess, but things might change if enough time passes. That's not a lot, of course, but considering that the vast majority of my iron comes from there and that I still don't have enough, if it DOES happen, it will utterly cripple me. despite having, as previously mentioned, built Barracks and Towers in every fortress, and clearing every dungeon in Ukat lands, there's still a 5% chance of theft there. Maybe siding with the incumbent WOULD? Might fit the theme - siding with the corrupt orders already in place is supposed to be more profitable, after all. Nor did making the choice actually give me more resources, at least not that I could tell. Their Acting Lord mentions that actually taking the Home Warrens will be a 'long campaign' - presumably they'll besiege it rather than try to force their way in, seeing as that would be extremely costly. talking to a few people after making the alliance seems to indicate that once you give the order for the Battalion to move out, that's it.
